General Personal Data
By default this website doesn’t not collect any identifiable data about you. I use Google Analytics to track how people in general interact with the site to improve it. I can only see what country the visitor is from.
We use a computerised booking system in the Salon. When we book an appointment for you – your name and phone number is stored on it, so we know when you are coming and can get in touch. The computer system is password protected to prevent unauthorised access and each stylist has their own login and limited access to personal data as operationally necessary.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
Our contact form stores the data you provide -name, email and message. This is deleted once dealt with.
WordPress is the Content Management System (CMS) that runs this website. It uses a “session cookie” when logging in and out and is essential for proper website operation. User data is all anonymous.
Subject Access Request
If you would like to see what personal data we hold about you electronically and on paper, we have a legal duty to comply and will happily do so. You will need to confirm your identity with a photographic form of I.D. like a passport or driving licence. We will only be able to process requests made with photo I.D. We will respond within the statutory time limit of 1 month.
